Heavy Frame Repair Technician Job at Fleet Works – Calgary, AB
This is not an entry-level job, applicants must have industry experience.

Fleet Works is a repair and paint facility specializing in fleet vehicles, commercial vehicles, trailers, and specialized equipment. We offer frame repair, collision repair, refinishing, abrasive media blasting, other repairs, and installation services to our business customers in the Southern Alberta area.
Completion of repair assignments following company guidelines and supplier procedures to meet our customer specifications.
Disassembly, inspection, and identification of repairs needed, repairing units, reassembly, final inspection, adjustments, etc.
Work will be done using a Beeline frame rack system, a Beeline alignment system, a Star-A-Liner truck rack, a Beline axle and housing press, and a specialized trailer repair frame cage.
Work includes frame straightening, frame repair, frame modifications, suspension repairs, axle repairs, and frame-mounted components. Work will also include other mechanical and/or auto body repairs based on workload and employees’ background.
Be organized and responsible for the proper completion of repairs as needed.
Make a conscious effort to complete work according to the timelines set out which may include the need to work overtime.
Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
Prior experience working with heavy vehicle and trailer frame repair.
A journeyman certificate would be beneficial, but we will also train and support the apprenticeship program for those wanting to upgrade. Training certificates can be either auto body repair or heavy equipment technician.
Experience working with fibreglass and aluminum would be ideal.

General physical skills carrying, lifting – 50 lbs., squatting, kneeling, pushing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and pulling extensively.
